FINGAL BAY PARK RUN! (18.05.2013)

So I have signed up for the world wide weekly event of  PARKRUN! Yep a FREE 5k run! Honest to say, I am still very much a amateur runner and I walked most of it. Every week you go the aim is just to get a little bit better then you did the previous week. Over a hundred people have been coming each week to go for a run together! Its a great morning and anyone to join in! You just need to register at http://www.parkrun.com.au/fingalbay/ 

So far I have only been once but I am wanting to go a lot more often. I just need some good running shoes and before I know it I should be a PRO!

Painted Pinecones! (DIY)

I wanted a cute centre piece for our coffee table, and come up with this great idea! I spray painted some pine cones a beautiful purple and placed them in a round glass bowl! It looks great. I will be getting some small lights to put in the bottom of it, to use it as a night light as well.

WHALE WATCHING!!!! Mother's Day 2013

When hubby told me he was taking me Whale Watching for Mother's Day.... Well I just COULD NOT wipe the smile off my face! This is something I have been wanting to do since I was a teenager. Finally a dream coming true! After getting a bit sea sick we finally seen a whale! It was amazing and everything I imagined it to be with it putting on a beautiful Breeching show for us and just casually hanging out around the boat! We also got to see some Dolphins. Thanks to the MV Spirit, and Tamboi cruises for our wonderful outing!

Fingal Bay *Mother's Day* 12.05.2013

Mother's Day morning, I was bouncing out of my skin! I just had to pass the time before we went Whale Watching. So we decided to head down to Fingal Bay for a look. It is always such a treat heading to the beaches around Port Stephens!

Painted Garden Shells (DIY)

Unfortunately not every day can be an adventure outside the house. I am kept busy most day with my beautiful family and little projects around the house. I love cooking and baking as well as craft and DIY. I am currently making our back deck look beautiful with plants and little nick knacks.

 

 

I have had these beautiful shells for years now, and decided to spray paint them purple (as this is my fave colour! Everything has been getting painted purple lately!) A bit of colour on anything these days really does wonders. These shells now sit perfectly in my potted palm and look fantastic!
